Routes
What are routes?
Routes in enrutar are used to organize Appointments into logical groups. Generally, all appointments assigned to the same route on the same day form a block that will be carried out by the same operator or group of operators.
Why use routes?
Routes are useful for planning workdays before assigning specific operators. You know which route it is, but you may not yet know who will do it. This gives you flexibility in organizing your field operations.
Creating routes
To manage routes, go to Settings > Routes. From here you can:
- Create new routes with a name.
- Edit existing routes.
- Delete routes you no longer need.
Assigning appointments to routes
When creating or editing an appointment, you can select the route it belongs to. This allows you to group appointments geographically, by type of work, or by any other criteria that suits your operations.
Examples of route organization
By type of work:
- Inspections 1
- Inspections 2
- Jobs 1
- Jobs 2
By geographical area:
- North Madrid
- South Madrid
- East Madrid
- West Madrid
By vehicle:
- Van 1
- Van 2
- Van 3
Routes in the Calendar
Routes serve as a filter in the Calendar and timeline views, making it easy to see all appointments for a specific route on a given day.
Routes in My Workday
If an operator's appointments for the day belong to a route, the My Workday screen will show the start and end points and can open Google Maps with directions for the entire route.
Routes are not required to work with enrutar. You can work without them by simply assigning operators directly to appointments. Routes simply add an extra layer of organization.
