Custom Work Order Fields
Custom work order fields allow you to add additional data fields to your Work Orders beyond the standard ones that enrutar provides. This lets you capture information specific to your business needs.
What are custom fields?
Custom fields are extra fields that your organization can configure to appear in the work order creation and editing forms. They allow you to collect specific data that is relevant to your operations.
Configuring custom fields
To manage custom fields, go to your organization settings. From there you can:
- Create new custom fields with a name and type.
- Edit existing fields.
- Delete fields you no longer need.
- Mark as required: Fields marked as required must be filled in before a work order can be saved.
Field types
Custom fields can be of different types depending on the data you need to collect:
- Text: Free-form text input.
- Number: Numeric values.
- Date: Date picker.
- Selection: Dropdown with predefined options.
- Checkbox: Yes/no toggle.
Using custom fields
Once configured, custom fields appear automatically in:
- The work order creation form.
- The work order editing form.
- Work order detail views.
Custom field values can be used to provide additional context and help with organization-specific workflows.
Custom fields and work reports
Custom field values are also available when generating Work Reports, providing additional context about the work performed.
