In enrutar we use a system of unique identifiers to reference certain entities in the system. This is important because you can have two customers with the same name or two work orders with the same title. If you use the unique identifier, you know you are referring to a specific one and it avoids confusion.

Enrutar identifiers have the following format lll-nnnnnn where the l are three letters that identify the entity type and the n are six sequential numbers.

Identifiers are used in the following entities:

• Work Orders - trb-000000. Can be modified.
• Customers - cli-000000. Can be modified.
• Appointments - vst-000000. Cannot be modified.
• Materials - mat-000000. Cannot be modified.
• Work Reports - prt-000000. Cannot be modified.
