What are work reports?

Work reports in enrutar are formal documents that summarize the work carried out during an appointment. They collect the most important information and allow the Customer or Operator to sign them as proof of the work performed.

The work report PDF contains the following elements:

  • Header: work order title, report number, date and schedule. The schedule is the appointment's or, if it has none, the period covered by the time entries.
  • Issuer: your company's details (name, phone, email, website and logo), editable in the organization settings. The appointment's Operators appear below them; if the appointment has no operators, the PDF shows the report creator.
  • Customer: name, work order address and the first active phone number and email.
  • Work performed: text description of the work.
  • Tasks: completed checklist items.
  • Articles: a single list with the operators' time entries first and then the catalogue articles or custom lines with their unit.
  • Customer signature: the customer's name, date, time and ID number (optional), plus their signature saved as an image. Until the report is signed, the PDF shows Pending customer signature.
  • Photos and videos: media files attached to the work order's comments, at the end of the document.

The footer of each page shows Generated by enrutar.com, the report number and the page numbering.

The PDF uses the same Document design as estimates (Minimalist, Modern or Compact), chosen in the organization settings. PDFs already generated do not change; new or regenerated reports use the current design.

Creating a work report

To create a work report, go to the appointment screen and click the document icon in the top menu. This opens a form pre-filled with the appointment title and collected data.

Under Time Entries, the form includes the work time of every operator assigned to the appointment. Driving time appears as a separate row when recorded, and each duration is rounded up to the next whole minute. You can edit these rows before signing.

Under Articles, each line appears as a card with Units and Article. Select a catalogue article or enter a custom line.

All this data can be modified before saving. You can also click on the Tap to sign box to allow the customer (or yourself) to sign the report.

Important notes

  • Once saved, a work report remains associated with the work order and appointment and cannot be modified. A signed report cannot be signed again, and the signer is fixed.
  • Work reports can include up to 9 images or videos attached to the work order's comments. Images appear visually in the PDF. Videos appear in a Videos section with a thumbnail when available, the filename and an Open video link.
  • The report uses data from Comments (excluding resolved comments) to generate AI-assisted summaries.

Work report identifiers

Work reports use the Identifier System with the format prt-000000. These identifiers cannot be modified.

Work reports and permissions

According to the Permission System:

  • Users with restricted access can generate work reports only for their own appointments.
  • Users with management or full access can generate work reports for all users.

Filtering work reports

On the Work Reports screen you can filter by:

You can also use the search bar, date range filters and column sorting to find specific reports.

Catalogue articles in a report

When preparing report materials, select catalogue articles or enter custom lines. Check quantities and line details before signing; catalogue-linked articles are visually distinguished.

Customer PDF links allow the document to be opened without signing into the app. Share them only with people who should have access. These links expire after seven days; if a link has expired, ask the sender for a current link.
