Customer Tags

What are customer tags?


Customer tags are labels that you can assign to Customers to classify and organize them. They work in a similar way to Work Order Tags but apply to customers.

Configuring customer tags


To manage your organization's customer tags, go to Settings > Customer Tags. From here you can:

  • Create new tags by clicking Create Tag.
  • Edit existing tags by clicking on them.
  • Delete tags you no longer need.

Each tag has a name and a color for easy visual identification.

Using customer tags


Once your tags are configured, you can assign them when creating or editing a customer. You can assign multiple tags to the same customer.

Examples


Here are some common ways companies use customer tags:

  • By customer type: Residential, Commercial, Industrial
  • By status: Active, Inactive, VIP
  • By source: Referral, Website, Cold call

Filtering by customer tags


Customer tags are available as filters in several screens:

  • The Customers screen: to quickly find customers of a specific type.
  • The Work Orders screen: to filter work orders by their customer's tags.
  • The Work Reports screen: to segment reports by customer classification.

This makes it easy to segment your activity and get insights into different customer groups.
